Doug made the leap to Colorado in 2017, driving cross-country with his U-Haul and his mom, Sable, by his side. Just days after arriving, he found himself working the sound stage at the Bluebird Theatre on Colfax for his friends in the band Dopapod. That’s when Samantha walked in. Already a friend of the band, she and Doug quickly connected, and from that moment , their story began.


Samantha was thriving in her career as a food and beverage manager, juggling roles from managing high-end luxury restaurants in downtown Denver to overseeing operations at Black Hawk Casino. Despite her demanding schedule, she always found time for Dougs shows, cooking delicious meals, and hosting their growing circle of friends.


Doug’s musical journey took him across Colorado, from intimate venues to legendary stages like Red Rocks. Along the way, he taught Samantha how to skateboard, and their shared adventures became the foundation of their love story.


Their furry family played an equally important role in their lives. The late Teddy, always by their side, paved the way for their current pack: loyal Mesa and their newest addition, Lloyd.


Two years ago, they moved into their own home together, building a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. They can’t wait to see what the future holds as they continue growing together.
